Story
Once again I’m taking on Footsteps For HOPE this spring to support The Hope Foundation (HOPE), who educate and protect street‑connected children in Kolkata, India.
My challenge is to walk 300,000 steps over 30 days. This will be tricky at times especially when I’m on holiday having lazy days!
I experienced first hand the amazing variety of projects that HOPE support in Kolkata during my January 2018 trip. I now sponsor 2 children: a girl and boy; and the first girl I sponsored straight after my trip is now an adult with a home and job. HOPE saved her from life on the street, helped her catch up on her education, gave her a home, where she had friends and adult support, and the chance of a brighter future as an independent, confident young woman.
HOPE’s support empowers these children to become their true selves, to reach for their dreams and beyond, to break that cycle of poverty and become successful, proud, financially independent adults.
Every step and every donation will fund HOPE's education initiatives, helping children build brighter, safer futures.
Thank you for supporting this journey and for walking with me — in spirit or in footsteps — as we create hope, one step at a time.
