Story
When you think of Sir Bobby, words like footballer, legend, Manchester United, gentleman, ambassador come to mind. But he is also a humanitarian. Visiting Cambodia in 2009, he said:
"It was a very emotional visit. Seeing youngsters without limbs just getting on with their life is hard to take. Coming from our world, it is difficult to come to terms with the idea that you could be in danger just walking down the street...It is awful to think that so many years after the fighting has ended people are still being crippled by landmines. This is a problem that can be beaten, but it needs international support to do it”.
And now the same thing is happening in Ukraine, which is now the most heavily mined country ON EARTH. Bobby's Foundation is aimed at supporting Victims of Conflict and is determined to help.
Thank you for anything you can give.
