5km a day, for 7days · 16 October 2023

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

My lovely, witty, clever, kind and caring big brother died of Bowel Cancer at aged 57. I want to do anything I can, in even a small way, avoid this happening to other families. Losing loved ones too soon. So I am raising for Bowel Cancer UK. He was just 57. I am getting as many people as I can, to commit to walk 5km a day, for 7 days. And for anyone unable to walk, to cover that distance however they can! Bowel Cancer UK, are the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.

Walking with me are John Ellis, Judith Cromwell, Alison Briggs, Kate Williams, Zoe Strange-Gould, Sarah Rees, Vicki Hopkins, Karen Morgan, Emma Jenkinson, Sarah Slack, Tamar Hughes, Kate Randall, Helen, Thomas and Emily Evans, Paula Whitmore, Sarah Slack, Jade Ledbrook, Kellie Green, Kate Moore, Kate Shaw, Julia Seymour, Fran Brown (and Rosie) Chitro, Hayley Crackle, Anna Miller, Tash, Stephen Hull, Nicola Hull, Neil Campbell, Katy Williams and Eryn, Lisa Birkett, Emilia Bromby, Gosia Szewczuk, Gordon Coe, Jen Scopes, Suzanne Maxted, Linda Coggan, Jack Ellis, Lisa Dormer, Anita

They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. Here to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
