Story
For my 70th birthday I am asking for donations to support the Hospice of the Good Shepherd because they are a charity which is close to my heart.
I am so lucky to have achieved this milestone of my “three score years and ten” so I’m going to enjoy my bonus years. The Hospice supports those who may not reach that milestone (and their families!) I have most things I need so would rather any money that would be spent on gifts to go to this wonder local charity of which I am a volunteer supporter.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services free of charge to its patients and costs £5.1million to run each year with just 20% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 80% is raised from a range of fundraising activities and the support of the generous local community in Cheshire. In addition, they raise money through their local charity shops and weekly lottery.
Any amount, big or small will make a huge difference to the lives of people with life limiting illnesses and provide care and support for their friends and family.
Thank you very much!
