Story

I’m a huge believer in the power of being on the water around Scotland’s coast for wellbeing. Over the years I’ve sailed, paddled, rowed and zoomed!

This year I was lucky enough to get involved with Wetwheels Edinburgh through my work and was reminded again that the excitement of being on the water should be something for everyone. Seeing smiling faces flying along the Forth with the wind and spray in their hair always brings a smile to my face. Hearing stories of the impact of even a short trip on the individuals taking part, old and young, inspired me to get out on the water more myself. So I’m lacing up my walking shoes and me and Dylan the dog will be joining the Wetwheels Wanderers at the Aberdeen Kiltwalk.

At Wetwheels Edinburgh they ensure everyone can access the water with a safe, barrier-free, enriching experience.

The Wetwheels experience is designed to enable every disabled person the chance to experience the excitement of power boating. Wetwheels boats are truly unique by being fully accessible - not just giving people the chance to be a passenger, but also to take the helm as the skipper - everybody gets the chance to drive!

All money raised by our team will ensure that Wetwheels can keep providing excitement, smiles, laughter and memories for everyone, making sure our amazing marine environment is truly accessible
