Story

Ever since Chloe was born she has not let her Visual Impairment or Deafness get in her way. Encouraged by her Dad, who completed his second London Marathon for LOOK on Sunday 21st April, Chloe has decided to take on the 5k inflatables. Neil and Chloe will be joined by some very good friends from her specialist school, New College Worcester, Phoebe and Amèlie and also Eleanor, a wonderful friend from home.

Neil doesn't let his hearing and vision loss get in the way and amazingly achieved his personal best time of 3 hours 33 minutes on Sunday. He has found friendship, connection and pride through running for LOOK as well as the marathon bug. His legs might still be sore on Saturday but that won't stop him helping Chloe and her friends complete the course.

It will no doubt be a challenge for them all but with Neil's support they are determined to get round the course and have a laugh along the way. It is a celebration of friendship and determination. Please lend them your encouragement by sponsoring the team.

Why are Chloe and her friends fundraising for LOOK?

LOOK has played a vital role in Chloe's development as a VI teenager. Her mentor Andrea helped Chloe find her voice and understand that there were different options for her future. The mentor project enables VI children and young people to connect with mentors who have been through similar challenges in their lives. As a small but mighty charity LOOK provides hope and connection for children, and young people living with sight loss, as well as their parent carers through the Parent Support Group .
