Jane's fundraiser for World Cancer Research Fund

Jane Sharp is raising money for World Cancer Research Fund

112 skips per day throughout October · 3 October 2026

World Cancer Research Fund champion the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can help people make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.

Story

Please contribute to this crucial cause, by donating here as I embark with this virtual challenge of 112 skips per day throughout October to support the continued research of this life changing disease, because The World Cancer Research Fund states that 11,200 people die from breast cancer each year.

I need you to back me and fill the money target to the top, because my body and mind will be super challenged with this goal, whilst skipping is fun in a child’s body and looks very simple and easy as an adult, actually doing it in midlife will have it’s shocks and I wouldn’t have needed bladder pads back then 🤪 either!

Please help me complete 3,472 skips in October and support thousands of people out there living with cancer, like my beautiful friend Nadine, as she continues to climb her own mountain living with breast cancer.

Every day in the UK around 1,100 people will hear the words, ‘you have cancer’. Over 400 of these cases could have been avoided, that’s 155,000 people every year. At World Cancer Research Fund they are passionate about reducing these diagnoses. To do so more people need access to their information and be able to make simple everyday changes like Nadine has and continues to do so in diet, weight and physical activity. Your donation will equip wonderful people like you with positive change and help support through their journey.
