Story
I'm taking part in a trek along part of the famous Camino de Santiago in Spain at the beginning of October. Over the course of three days, I’ll be walking 67 kilometres and finishing at the iconic Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela on the final day.
This is a personal challenge I’ve set myself, and I’m covering all the costs of the trip, so every single penny you donate will go directly to support St Ann’s Hospice.
St Ann’s Hospice, based in Heald Green just around the corner from where I live, is currently raising funds to build a brand-new facility with state-of-the-art equipment and improved spaces for patients and their families. The new hospice will be built on land next to the existing building, and it will make a huge difference to so many people in our community.
Many of us have known someone in need of specialist palliative care, and the work St Ann’s does is truly second to none. I had the privilege of working there for a short time a few years ago, and I saw first-hand just how incredible the staff and the care they provide really are. That’s why this cause is so close to my heart, and why I’ve chosen to take on this challenge in support of them.
My goal is to raise £1,000, and I would be so grateful for any support you can give — no amount is too small. Every donation will go straight to helping St Ann’s continue their vital work.
Thank you so much, and please wish me luck!
