Jane is running the London Marathon 2025 for Brain Tumour Research

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I Did it!!
London Marathon done.
It was brutal - not sure so many different parts of my body have hurt at the same time!
I am so humbled by the support I've had from everyone. You've all kept me going.
This run was for you, my darling Mumxx🩷🤍💛
Those of you who know me will know that my lovely Mum died of a brain tumour. My partner’s late wife, Sarah also died of a brain tumour, leaving behind another family without a Mum.
I have a very small bucket list of 6 items, of which one was “run a marathon.” I have applied in the ballot for the last 9 years to get a place in the London Marathon. I was SO, SO delighted to be successful this year and I am raising money for Brain Tumour Research.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is awful!
Brain Tumour Research is the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight.
£2740 will fund 1 day of research into treatment for brain tumours at all the brain tumour research centres in the UK including the amazing research project at Cardiff University.
My target is to be able to fund at least day of research because I'd give anything to spend 1 more day with my Mum xx
My marathon training has brought me down to earth with a bump! It was only when I completed my first 15 mile training run that I actually believed I could make it round the course!!
This gave me the confidence to raise as much as I can for this amazing cause.
Please donate whatever you are able so I can do something in memory of two very much loved Mums. xxx
