With extremely heavy hearts, we share the loss of my beautiful Mum Jane, who passed on 25th November 2024.
Mum was the heart of Team Hall. We have lost our wife, our mother, our best friend, cheerleader and confidant. But we know that she is up there, sipping pink Prosecco on a train, dancing to the Mamma Mia soundtrack, enjoying sunrises and sunsets, cuddling with Eric, Flo and Monty and listening to birdsong in her kitchen garden. Watching over all of us and loving us from afar. She was the brightest, kindest, warmest soul, and this world will never feel the same without her in it.
My mum was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal cancer in January 2022. Being diagnosed with a particularly nasty cancer came as a huge shock, but Mum's positivity shone through to all of us, shaping our family's response to our new reality. Whilst we have been robbed of so much, we were also reminded to never take life for granted. In the last three years we have loved and laughed more than ever before, because we understood how precious time really was. Mum made sure that we were surrounded by beautiful memories, doing everything in her power to prepare us for life without her.
When it came time for Mum to move into hospice care, we were all scared about what this final stage of her life would look like. What we didn't anticipate was the overwhelming love and compassion we would receive during our six and a half weeks at Hospice in the Weald, Pembury. Every need and wish Mum had was met with kindness, and our own concerns were heard and supported as well. The staff and volunteers there, from every corner of the hospice, made a difficult and emotional journey as peaceful and as comfortable as possible for Mum, and for us. As a family we felt supported in ways we will never forget, and we can't think of a more deserving charity for donation than this one. Everyone in the world should have access to hospice care in their final days, and it breaks our hearts that so many don't have that option.
As a family, Jane's Angels will be taking part in different fundraising activities over the coming months and years to fundraise for Hospice in the Weald.
To kick off ROUND 1, Charlie will be doing a 10,000ft skydive, Craig and Sam will be cycling from Hever (in Kent) to Monaco, and Georgia will be swimming the English Channel!
Finally, we would like to thank everyone for the love and support you have shown us during this incredibly difficult time. It's a true testament to the impact that Mum had on so many lives and we are so thankful for everyone's love and kindness. If you would like to honor her memory and continue her legacy, please consider donating to this fund. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help carry forward the values she held dear. Thank you for helping keep her spirit alive.
With love from Craig, Charlie and Sam xx
