Janet's 💯🚴🏻‍♂️ YCC for St Catherine's Hospice

Janet Button is raising money for Saint Catherine's Hospice (Scarborough)

Team: YCC fundraising for Saint Catherine's Hospice (Scarborough)

💯 Cycle ride · 6 September 2026

Saint Catherine’s provides specialist palliative care and support for adults with life-limiting conditions across Scarborough, Ryedale and East Yorkshire. We offer inpatient care, respite care, wellbeing and bereavement support, and an accessible holiday space for families.

Story

On Sunday 6th September I will be one of a group of about 12 friends from Yorkshire Coast Clarion cycle club, doing a sponsored 💯 mile cycle to raise money for St. Catherine’s Hospice. Our route is from here in Peasholm, Scarborugh to Driffield, Beverley, Hornsea mere, and back via Hunmanby.

St Catherine’s Hospice here in Scarborough is a wonderful asset in our community, providing care and support in people’s homes, the community as well as the in-patient unit, for adults with terminal illnesses, their families, carers and friends. The team of specialised palliative care take a ‘whole person’ view of every individual, their life and their loved ones, working with them to enhance their comfort , life and well-being. They do everything they can to help make people’s wishes come true, providing space, and time for rest, memory-making and togetherness. This has included hosting weddings, christenings, movie nights, and even visits from ponies, alpacas and owls!

It would be fantastic if you can support us in our mission to help St Catherine’s! Thank you for your time 😊🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♂️💯.
