On 4 January 2025, my daughter Ruth and I plan to take part in the Hardmoors 15 trail in North Yorkshire. The trail follows a route south on the Cleveland Way from Robin Hood’s Bay towards Scarborough and then back along the cliff tops to the starting point, Fylingdales Village Hall, about 16 miles altogether. This will be the third time we have undertaken this challenge together. Last year, we raised over £500 through sponsorship in aid of Redhill Methodist Church.

Like many Churches, Redhill Methodist is facing the financial challenge of increased maintenance and other costs, like heating, which are no longer met by its regular income. The Church Council is exploring different options for maximising its income and has asked members of the congregation to consider how they can contribute.
