We are raising funds to establish a UK Practice Centre

Story

Shortly after my husband, Jamie, died in October 2020, I was lucky enough to attend an online Mindfulness retreat organised by Plum Village, France during lockdown. Throughout the course of 2021, I attended many online retreats organised by both Plum Village France and Plum Village UK and I also joined a local group based in Nottingham (Deep Roots sangha).

In Summer 2022 I was lucky enough to spend a week in Plum Village, France on retreat. Plum Village has been such an integral part of my healing process and I would like to give something back.

Plum Village UK is currently fundraising to open a retreat centre in the UK - The “Being Peace Practice Centre”.

The project is…

"To create an environment where wholesome qualities in each of us can be nourished is one of the most valuable things we can offer to the world today. Through the practice of mindfulness, this will be a place for refuge and inner peace, where the community can live in harmony, where young generations can reconnect with their roots, and where seasoned practitioners can deepen their spiritual practice. Please bring your love and support to this project, for yourself and for future generations”.

THICH NHAT HANH

On the 17th September, I will begin an 820km (509 miles) walk on the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain. I’m following the Camino del Norte, starting in Irun.
