Running the Great North Run for Blood Bikes Scotland – In Memory of Clive (Grunda)
This September, I’ll be running the Great North Run in memory of our much-loved dad and father-in-law, husband, son, Grandad Clive – affectionately known as Grunda to his 5 grandchildren Lily, Harris, Eve, William And Molly.
Clive was diagnosed with leukaemia in December, and during that incredibly difficult time, we were fortunate to have the support of Blood Bikes Scotland. Their dedication and speed helped ensure Clive got the treatment he needed, giving us a little more precious time with him — time we will forever be grateful for.Blood Bikes Scotland is a volunteer-run charity that provides a vital out-of-hours courier service for the NHS, transporting life-saving medical supplies, blood samples, and more. Their work made a real difference to our family, and this run is my way of giving something back to them.
We miss Clive every single day. He was kind, funny, and the heart of our family. We feel lucky to have had him in our lives, and it's an honour to run this race in his memory.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, your support will help this incredible charity continue to help others — just as they helped us.
Thanks
Janice
