The Infinity Bridge, longest high wire Bridge in Europe · 2 August 2025

WISHH stands for Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals. We fundraise to complement and enrich the services and facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals, over and above what can be achieved by the NHS alone, for the benefit and comfort of patients and their loved ones.

Story

Event - The Infinity Bridge, longest high wire bridge in Europe , at Honister Slate Mine, Lake District.

As my friends and family will know I have recently been through Cancer again!! Breast Cancer (12yrs ago) and this time mouth Cancer - both grade 3.

I'm still recovering from this and the side effects/after effects are on-going, it's going to be a long road but one I'll keep plodding down, the main thing is I'm still here and I live to fight another day.

Both times my surgery/treatments have been at Castle Hill Hospital, Hull and I can't thank the staff, nurses and doctors enough for everything they have done to make sure I'm still here today

They are all just so amazing in what they do from my 10hr complex surgery to just making me laugh and generally cheering me up on the ward.

Because of this I am raising money for CHH, which I intend on splitting between a few departments who have been involved in my care.
