Story
For my Bat Mitzvah tzedakah (charity) project, I have put some time into thinking about which charity I could raise money for. I wanted to find one that my family has benefited from.
On Tuesday 18th July, I will be walking from my home in Southgate, North London to the Marie Curie Head Office in Vauxhall in Central London which is a distance of 12.4 miles.
I have chosen to raise money for Marie Curie as both my Grandpas died from cancer; Grandpa Anthony long before I was born and Grandpa Neville when I was only two years old.
They helped Grandpa Neville when he was very ill with cancer, and in the last weeks of his life, Marie Curie sent carers who were always there to help whenever they were needed. They put all their effort into people they didn't know but still supported and connected with them.
It is really special for me to do this charity walk in honour of both my Grandpas as the week of my Bat Mitzvah coincides with the 10 year yahrzeit for Grandpa Neville.
I would love it if you would be able to donate to this cause so Marie Curie can continue to do their fantastic work.
Thank you so much,
