Brighter Futures for All Children

In January 2026, we lost our much-loved Rachael suddenly to heart complications while on a family holiday. She was 46.

Rach was a devoted mum, daughter, sister, friend and colleague. She was funny, loyal, kind and fiercely passionate about making a difference.

As Head of Social Value at Colas, Rachael dedicated her career to improving opportunities for others. She believed deeply that every child deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their starting point in life.

In her memory, we are raising funds for We Mind the Gap, a UK charity that supports disadvantaged young people to build confidence, develop skills and access opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.
