Strictly Come Hospice Rennie Grove Peace · 24 January 2025

Based on Strictly, we will bring together people from the local community to dance for one night only. The couples will be taught by Chris Scoot and his dance partner over several weeks before the grand final with judges and live audience.

Story

I am fundraising in memory of my Dad who passed away earlier this year. If it had not been for the Team at Rennie Grove Peace, I would not have known how to cope in the final few hours. They went above and beyond to allow my father to die at home. It takes very special people to dedicate themselves to this work and this is the perfect opportunity for me to thank and support them. My Dad gave me my love for dancing. He was very musical and a fine mover himself. I only started ballroom dancing as a ‘Senior’ but it has been a huge part of my life for many years. I love the music, the colours, the sparkle and the camaraderie at dance competitions – everything Strictly is about! This year has drained a lot of my energy and dampened the joy I used to feel at dance events. I am looking forward to taking part in Strictly Come Hospice and bringing some of that joyful feeling back.

Whether you have met my Dad, want to support me or show your appreciation for a vital service in the community, please donate whatever you can. We also hope for an amazing atmosphere cheering all the participants on the night. Tickets for the live show can be purchased here:
