Story
Hey everyone, as you all know, I was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma in May 2023.
After 7 intense months of chemotherapy, scans, hospital visits, hospital admissions, oncology appointments, PICC line care, district nurse visits and continous bloodwork,I was given the all clear in December 2023.
Cancer has affected my family enormously. I lost my Grandma to cancer when I was 14, then my Dad to brain tumours when i was 15, and my cousin has just recently fought and won her battle with breast cancer. Although this was one of the hardest battles I have ever had to face, its the post cancer recovery that I've found the hardest. The fatigue, the lack of stamina, my body image, growing my hair back, all causing my confidence to be at an all time low. But everyday I work on myself to fully recover from this horrible disease. And I now want to help other individuals and there families to get through their own battles.
So I have decided to take part in Rainbow Valley's Brave to Bare event, 22rd March 2026 in Glasgow's Double Tree by Hilton. Rainbow Valley is a charity close to my heart and when they asked me to take part I jumped on board straight away. This event will include me, and other courageous men/women, taking to the stage, to perform their routine and baring all. This is way out of my comfort zone but when I was asked to take part, I knew I had to say yes. Rainbow Valley run courses to help people like me, affected by cancer. The courses are free to attend but come at a cost to the charity, therefore rely on fundraising. Please help me in raising as much funds as possible for this wonderful charity. Thank you for your support!
