On the 16th March, I will be running the Rome Marathon and raising money for Dementia UK and Harlington Hospice.

One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime. Either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.

It really is such a cruel disease and seeing the impact it has had on a close friends family has been heartbreaking.

At Minster Care, Amicura dn Fairways Care we also take care of hundreds of residents with dementia.

Dementia UK provides specialist dementia nurses known as Admiral Nurses who provide individualised care and support to families affected by this condition.
