Story
We are raising funds for the QE Brain Tumour fund in memory of Janet "Jan" Kyte.
Jan was diagnosed with two brain tumours in 2023. Although treatment was not curative, and a further brain tumour was discovered in 2025, she received exceptional care throughout her illness from the dedicated Brain Tumour Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Sadly, Jan passed away in May 2026.
Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer-related death in adults and children under the age of 40. During her lifetime, Jan expressed a wish to help support brain tumour patients and contribute to improving outcomes for those affected by this disease.
In her memory, we are raising funds to support the vital work of the QE Brain Tumour Fund. Donations will help fund pioneering research and clinical trials, driving the development of new treatments, improving early diagnosis, and bringing us closer to a future where fewer families lose loved ones to this devastating illness.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help continue Jan's legacy and make a meaningful difference to the lives of brain tumour patients and their families.
