Story
Cartoonists and cartoon lovers unite!
The Center for Cartoon Studies and its wonderful community need you!
In August, it will be 11 years since I moved to Vermont from South Carolina! Two years as a student at CCS, and 9 on the administrative staff - that number truly blows my mind. If you’ve been fortunate enough to visit CCS, you know that it’s a very special place, helping cartoonists to reach new heights in their craft and careers. I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without this school and community.
The telegraph renovation project has been a long time in the making and I can't tell you how excited I am to see it heading into the final stages. And I must admit, as the person whose office is in the Colodny basement, how thrilled I am to be moving above ground to an office with a window!
As they celebrate their 20th anniversary, The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) is renovating the Old Telegraph Building in downtown White River Junction. The renovated building will include a state-of-the-art production lab for schoolwork, self-publishing, and community projects, along with many other fully accessible amenities for future generations of cartoonists to thrive!
I'm helping CCS fundraise to complete this exciting project, and I invite you to join me.
Your gift - big or small - will make a difference, and will help CCS:
- Secure a fully accessible, above-ground campus.
- Expand programs that serve students, educators, and the public.
- Revitalize a long-vacant and dilapidated historic building.
- Strengthen downtown vitality and the regional economy.
- Advance the field of cartooning.
- Empower future generations of artists.
Let's keep the ink flowing!
