This August, I'm taking on a challenge that will seriously test both my legs and my determination: 1,000 miles on the Peloton in 31 days to raise money for Alder Hey Children's Charity.

I've chosen Alder Hey because of the incredible difference they make to the lives of children and families every day through world-class care, pioneering research, and life-changing support.

To complete the challenge, I'll need to average more than 32 miles every single day throughout August. There will be early mornings, late evenings, tired legs, and more time on a bike than I'd probably care to admit, but knowing that every mile is helping raise money for Alder Hey will keep me going.

I'm incredibly proud to be taking on this challenge with the backing of Barclays and hope that together we can raise as much as possible for a charity that does so much for so many.
