Story
In April 2026, I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Nerve Tumours UK.
I live with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), a genetic condition that causes tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF1 can lead to a wide range of health issues, including chronic pain, learning difficulties, and an increased risk of certain cancers. Not only that, but it is a condition that brings daily challenges and uncertainties. Despite affecting over 26,000 people in the UK, NF often goes under-recognised and under-researched.
Nerve Tumours UK provides vital support, information, and advocacy for people affected by NF, as well as funding research to improve treatment and care. Their work is essential in giving individuals and families living with NF the help they need.
By running the London Marathon, I want to raise both awareness and funds to support this important charity. Every donation will go directly towards improving the lives of people with NF.
Thank you for your support.
