Story
Working at Vibe UK has completely changed the way I see the incredible difference a safe, inclusive space can make in a young person's life. Every day I see the impact that Vibe has, giving young people opportunities to grow, build confidence, make friends, and feel like they truly belong. It's something I believe everyone deserves, and that's why I knew I wanted to do something to give back.
I've ran the behind scenes of fundraising challenges before, but this time I decided it was time to really step outside my comfort zone... and unfortunately, that comfort zone is firmly attached to the ground.
On the 7th August, I'm taking on a challenge that involves facing my biggest fear: heights.
To put this into perspective, I'm the kind of person whose legs start shaking at the top of a mountain, whose brain immediately starts calculating every possible way gravity could ruin my day, and who firmly believes the view is just as nice from the bottom! So this is going to be a genuine challenge (and probably quite entertaining for everyone watching).
But if pushing through a few moments of sheer panic can help raise money to give more young people the opportunities, support, and safe spaces they deserve, then every wobbly step will be worth it.
If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, you'll be helping Vibe continue the amazing work it does for young people every single day. And if nothing else, your donation will help convince me that voluntarily terrifying myself was a good idea!
Thank you so much for your support, it genuinely means the world.
