This September I am joining LATCH on their new campaign to help raise £40k.

This month is the 40th anniversary of LATCH and it is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Did you know that cancer is currently the leading cause of death in children aged 1-14 years in the UK and survivors can face a lifetime of serious health issues as a result of the intensive treatments used to treat their cancer.

LATCH started when a group of families and friends recognised that children with cancer and their families not only needed medical support but also practical, emotional and financial support to ease the burden they face.

Since then LATCH has supported hundreds of children, young people and their families across Wales every year who are being treated at the Paediatric Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital for Wales.

After a few years of lazing around and becoming terribly unfit I am going to take on the challenge to hike 40 miles across the hills in Wales over the next three weeks of September.

Will you donate to help me complete this challenge? My goal is to raise £400.00 for LATCH.

Any funding raised is going to be used to improve the parents accommodation, the holiday caravans and provide vital support to families.
