Story
In August this year, I will embark on an extraordinary journey, swimming the 55 miles of the Irish Sea between Holyhead and Dublin. This swim is a monumental challenge, as it has never been accomplished by a solo swimmer before. To put it into perspective, this distance is equivalent to more than two and a half English Channels. Throughout the entire swim, I will be in the water, accompanied only by a dedicated pilot boat and crew. At no point will I be allowed to touch either the boat or another human being.
Having previously completed the English Channel three times, including a two-way crossing in 2023, I am driven by a personal mission that resonates deeply with me. I am raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, an organization that provides vital support to young people affected by cancer. As a parent of a child who has faced this battle, I understand firsthand the importance of their work.
I am fully funding this swim myself; every penny raised will go directly to the charity. My goal is to raise £5,000 for this incredible cause. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.
