Jason's fundraiser for Edison's Light

Jason Casson is raising money for Edison's Light

The Lap AntiClockwise 2026 · 12 September 2026

We provide support packs to bereaved families affected by the loss/death of a baby. Packs contain a range of resources to help support even the youngest of family members through their grief. We aim to provide comfort and guidance during this difficult time and help families feel less alone.

Story

I’ve decided to take on The Lap, the self proclaimed “Beautiful Ultra”. 47 miles around Windermere with over 2500m of elevation gain. Me being me I’ve decided to do what’s generally thought of as the harder (because most of the steep climbs come in the second half of the route!) anticlockwise route having never done an Ultra Marathon before.

So while I’m putting myself through pain I want to raise money for a charity which is run by friends of ours. It is a fantastic cause which supports families who are dealing with baby loss by providing support packs.

I understand we’re all feeling the squeeze with rising costs at the moment. But any small amount you feel you can donate will be a genuine help to the charity.

Further details on The Lap are available on thelap.co.uk.
