Story
On 26th April 2026, I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my amazing Mum, Keeley Joyce Chamberlain, who we sadly lost on 15th May 2025.
Mum was born on 28th January 1969 and leaves behind three sons – myself (Jason), Luke, and Trevor – and three grandchildren - Henry, Misty and Alastair.
Mum had been unwell for some time and, in the final year of her life, received truly exceptional care from Rennie Grove Hospice Care. Their support enabled her to remain at home, surrounded by her dogs, her garden, and the people she loved most, making precious memories together.
Rennie Grove provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, helping over 4,500 patients a year. They offer support in the place that best suits each person’s needs – whether at home, in the community, or at their facilities – completely free of charge. This is only possible thanks to donations, as just 14% of their costs comes from statutory funding.
I am running to raise as much as possible in Mum’s honour and as a thank you to Rennie Grove for their compassion, dignity, and kindness during the hardest time of our lives.
If you are able to support, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me and our family – and it will help ensure others receive the same incredible care that Mum did.
Thank you for reading, donating, and helping me honour Mum’s memory.
