Jason's fundraiser for RUHX

Lansdown Cricket Club (Bath) 200 yr anniversary fundraiser · 26 May 2025
I played cricket for (and against) Lansdown as a teenager in the 1980s and for another 8 years or so after I came back to Bath, up until the early 2020s. So it felt right to get involved with the Club's Bicentenary Celebrations.
I'm joining 17 other members to take on a MASSIVE cycle ride from Durham to Bath via every test cricket ground in England - that's 850kms in just four days (27-30 May 2025) - all for amazing local charities. These are primarily RUHX, The official Charity of The Royal United Hospital and Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Most people know Lansdown CC is closely associated with the RUH. We are next door neighbours, the hospital is the leaseholder for the Club's ground and I, like many others, have had my innings interrupted when the air ambulance needed to land on the outfield!
The Big Cycle Ride is a major element of Lansdown Cricket Club's Bicentenary Celebrations; I'm thrilled to be part of it whilst at the same time terrified of what it's going to require of me over the 4 days and nights. Be assured I'll do my utmost to help the team meet the challenge to raise £200k for their 200 years of history - all for amazing local charities.
