Just under a year ago, I lost my Nana to ovarian cancer. She was the warmest person in my life, always reminding us how much she loved us. I miss her endlessly.
If you know me well, you'll know that I’ve never been the most sporty person, always preferring to pick up a guitar or sit behind a keyboard. So, running 100k in a month sounds like quite a daunting challenge!
All proceeds for the run will go to Kate’s Home Nursing, who provided such excellent care to my Nana - something I wish for all patients and families going through a similar situation.
There is absolutely no pressure for anyone to donate, but I’d encourage everyone to read about the services that the charity provides for free - something incredibly rare across the UK.
