Story

Why I'm running for the Miscarriage Association

Before we had our daughter, my wife, Lauren, had a miscarriage where I felt very helpless. I felt very helpless – in large part because I didn’t understand what was happening.

The information and resources from the miscarriage association was helpful to me in understanding what was happening what to expect and how to I could continue to help both Lauren and myself. I’m tremendously grateful for the work that the association does, including the resources it provided that helped me and to help me understand and process what occurred. For me I found it important to talk about and share.

I’m hoping that these funds help raise awareness for the work that the association does and continues to allow for the provision of resources that were beneficial to me.

About the Miscarriage Association

The Miscarriage Association is a national charity that offers support and information to anyone who is affected by miscarriage or ectopic or molar pregnancy. They work with health professionals to encourage good care; with workplaces to promote compassionate policies and with the media to raise public awareness of the facts and feelings of pregnancy loss.

Their team of amazing London Marathon runners help with all of this and more. Their fundraising helps pay for the staffed helpline and the production of high-quality information online and in print. And every time they mention the M.A. they raise awareness of how they can help.

About Me

I'm a Texas transplant that's lived in the UK for the past 8 years. I've enjoyed running in the past but never run a marathon (or even a formal half!).

Thank you for your support, it means a lot that you are willing to support this cause and my efforts!
