Triple Peak Challenge...
Next month Myself and my 7 year old daughter Frankie will be taking on the challenge of completing the Triple Peak Challenge. We would love to raise £1000 for UCAN as a thank you for all the help and support during my journey with Cancer in 2023.
As some of you will know last year I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Testicular Cancer, thankfully after surgery and Chemotherapy I was given the all clear but I will continue to be monitored.
The Triple Peak Challenge entails climbing the highest peak in Scotland, England and Wales.
We aim to complete this in 3 days, completing a peak a day as Frankie only has little legs. We will cover a total walking distance of 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft)
Our first peak will be Snowdon in Wales (Yr Wyddfa in Welsh) standing at 1085 metres high.
Our second peak will then be Scafell Pike, in the Lake District National Park at 978 metres high.
Finishing off close to home by completing Ben Nevis which is the tallest mountain in the United Kingdom, at 1345 metres (4413 feet) in height, and also the largest of the National Three Peaks of Great Britain.
I will then be looking to do the challenge again later in the year myself and aim to complete the three peaks then within 24 hours.
