Story
Bit of short notice, but over the past 16 weeks I've been preparing to run my first ever marathon.
I'll be running in Rome, a city which has always fascinated me with my interest in history. I'm sure the ancient sights will be a good way to take my mind off the 42kms.
Alongside this, I would like to raise money for what is currently my local Gurdwara in Surrey (near RAF Odiham). The sewadars of the Gurdwara have always put the sangat first and are committed to advancing the Panth. They have always centred their diwans around providing a platform for the youth. Since the Gurdwara's opening, it has been a place of meditation and solace for the local community, for both Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike.
With Guru Maharajs Kirpa, any contribution would be very gratefully received and will help the Gurdwara continue its work for the community. Even a small donation would mean a great deal.
I’ve set a target of £420. £10 for each kilometre of the marathon.
All donations go directly to the Gurdwara through JustGiving.
