Jasper’s fundraiser for Home Farm Trust

JASPER SAWYER is raising money for Hft

Hiking Mount Kilimanjaro · 1 October 2026

We’re on a mission to change the lives of learning disabled people for the better. So you and your family can live the best life possible. Your life. Your way

Story

In October, I’ll be taking on the biggest challenge of my life—climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.

When I first booked the climb, I wasn’t doing it to raise money for charity. It was simply a personal challenge that I’d always wanted to take on. However, over the past few months, I’ve seen first-hand the incredible support that Home Farm Trust has given my brother, Kit, and it made me realise that this was the perfect opportunity to give something back. It was also a charity my late brother supported and so there were too many reasons not to do something.

Many of you will know Kit. If you’ve ever met him, you’ll know exactly why this cause is so close to my heart. He’s one of the funniest, friendliest and most entertaining people you’ll ever meet. He has an incredible knack for making people laugh, brightening everyone’s day and creating memories that will be talked about for years. And, of course, those who know him best will also know he’s got a wonderfully cheeky side but he’s also responsible for more than a few unforgettable stories over the years that has certainly kept family and friends on their toes - life with Kit is never boring !

Recently, Home Farm Trust has had a huge impact on Kit’s life. They’ve helped him move into a fantastic new home where he has the support he needs while also giving him opportunities to take part in activities, make new friends and enjoy as much independence as possible. Seeing the confidence and happiness this has brought him has meant a great deal to all of us as a family and it’s made me appreciate just how important charities like Home Farm Trust are.

So, although Kilimanjaro started as a personal challenge, I’d love to turn it into something that can make a difference for others too. If I can help raise money to support Home Farm Trust and enable more people like Kit to live happy, fulfilling and independent lives, then every step to the summit will be even more worthwhile.

If you’re able to support me, no matter how big or small the donation, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every pound raised will go towards helping Home Farm Trust continue the life-changing work they do.

Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement. It means a huge amount to me, my family and, of course, to Kit… although knowing him, he’ll probably tell everyone that climbing Kilimanjaro is the easy part!
