"I’m doing this in order to raise money and awareness for drug addiction and mental health issues as it is something that has greatly impacted my life. Seeing my brother go down to rehab last year and never knowing if I was going to see him again I wouldn’t wish on anybody as it was one of the hardest periods of my life to watch my best-mate go through such uncertain times.

MY CHALLENGE: It has been inspired by David Goggins and it consists of running 4miles every 4 hours for 48 hours!!

This challenge will be extremely physically demanding but the pain that is going to be involved will be worthwhile if it can raise awareness and hopefully less families have to go through what we did as it was genuinely heart-breaking.

The great help of Cuan Mhuire should be recognised as my brother had poor mental health and at the time I felt very worried whether he was still going to be alive and to transform his life the way he has is just inspirational."

Cuan Mhuire has 5 Residential Treatment Centres throughout the Island of Ireland. They support over 2400+ annually with their restorative, healing and supportive 12 week alcohol & gambling programme and 20 week drug programme. Treatment includes detox, the programme, aftercare and family support. 40% of addicts have been homeless at admission so we have 7 residential Transition Houses that can get them ready for independent living.
