We believe that no life should be half lived. 1 in 5 people in Scotland are struggling with a chest, heart or stroke condition. We won't live with that. Join us to support people to live life to the full. #NoLifeHalfLived

Story

me and my siblings have decided to take part in the Kiltwalk 2026 to raise money for a charity that means so much to me and my family.

Chest, heart and Stroke Scotland is our chosen charity. This charity supports people across Scotland who are living with chest, heart and stroke conditions, helping them to keep going, to keep living, and to find strength even in the hardest moments. They also stand beside the families who are going through it too.

My beautiful dad lived with cardiomyopathy, a genetic heart condition which runs through his family. Over the past 20 years he had various heart attacks which he faced with strength and courage. My dad was a man who got on with life and never let anything get him down. He lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment in his company. Anyone who knows my dad knows that he had the biggest most amazing heart.

We lost dad last November, just 2 weeks after he turned 65. He suffered from 2 strokes in the short space of not even 24 hours which took his life in the matter of days.

The hardest part is knowing there were warning signs which were overlooked. Our hearts are broken, and life will never feel the same without him.

But we want to do something that would make him proud. We want to raise awareness, support others, and give back to charity.

So we’re taking on a 20-mile walk in his memory.

Every step we take is for him.

If you can, please support us. We want to do our dad proud ❤️
