I am raising money for the Michael Sobell Hospice with a sponsored haircut for my son, Dhian- in honour and in memory of his mother, my late wife, Seetal. If you never had the pleasure of meeting Seetal, she was kind, loving, funny and very beautiful- a great wife and a wonderful mother.
In May 2014, Seetal was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer (incurable but treatable), this was devastating news.
During the years that followed, there were a few times Seetal lost her hair due to chemotherapy and needed to wear a wig to feel 'normal'. In our society and in this day and age, this should never be the case.
In October 2020, Seetal was admitted to hospital as she was feeling really unwell. A visit she would never return home from.
During 2019/20 when a certain very famous Portuguese footballer (if you're still guessing- there's a C, an R and a 7) had a certain hairstyle, young Dhian wanted the same style. With myself being a Juventus fan- I allowed this new hairstyle and the rest is history...
Dhian has been growing his hair (since 2020) for donation as we felt that people requiring wigs could benefit from his hair from the after-effects of chemotherapy.
On Friday 14th April, we are having Dhian's hair cut to donate to The Little Princess Trust.
A special mention to @wildandreas as he cut and styled Seetal's hair in July 2020 and now he will kindly cut her son's hair in her memory ❤
All I can show is grattitude and try to help the Michael Sobell Hospice as it's where Seetal had chosen to spend her last days but never did.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
