Story
In loving memory of my wonderful mum, Ann White.
I will be raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity after sadly losing mum following a short and heartbreaking battle with brain cancer. Mum was a loving mother, family member, and friend who meant the world to so many people.
Watching someone you love go through such a devastating illness is something no family should have to experience. I want to do something positive in her memory and help support the incredible work being done to fund research, raise awareness, and support families affected by brain tumours.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to me and the family and will help make a difference in the fight against brain cancer.
Thank you for all your support, love, and kindness.
The Challenge
On Saturday 26th September, I will be taking on a huge personal challenge by running a 58.4km trail ultra marathon from Ambleside to Keswick, with 2303m of elevation across the course.
I booked this race on the day of Mum's diagnosis to raise funds for treatment & research. This will be by far the toughest physical challenge I have ever faced, especially as I have never run more than 30km before.
But as difficult as this race will be, it is nothing compared to what Mum went through during her short and heartbreaking battle with brain cancer.
By taking on this challenge, I hope to honour Mum’s memory while supporting the incredible work being done to fund research, raise awareness, and provide support to families affected by brain tumours.
