Jayme McCann's fundraiser for Crossbasket House

106 Miles in June · 30 June 2025
This June, I am taking on the challenge to cover 106 miles - the length of the River Clyde - to support children and families in hospital. When Miley was born, we faced a difficult journey as she had to stay in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital due to a serious condition called Exomphalos Major We spent a total of 8 weeks there, learning how to care for her and manage her needs before we could finally return home safely.
Living 80 miles away made it incredibly challenging to travel back and forth during this time. Thankfully, we were given a room at Crossbasket House (previously Ronald McDonald House), which allowed us to stay close by and focus on our her recovery without the added stress of long commutes. As we await an upcoming surgery date that will require further recovery time, we may need to rely on this wonderful facility once again.
I am raising funds for "Stride the Clyde" with a goal of £1,000 to help support families like ours who are staying at Crossbasket House. This incredible organization provides essential support for families in need during some of their most challenging times. Your contribution can make a real difference in ensuring that families have a safe place to stay while their loved ones receive care. Together, let’s make this journey meaningful and impactful!
