Story
A few Johnson Matthey PGMS staff have volunteered to run a wreath making workshop as a fundraiser for Home-Start on 2nd December, 5pm onwards, to encourage staff from across the JM site to come together and get to know people from other business units, have a fun few hours and come away with something unique for the festive season.
JM will provide the resources to make your own wreath; you will just need to bring a pair of secateurs or strong scissors if you have them.
To take part in the workshop costs £25 per head, with a drink and mince pies provided. Places are limited to 20 spaces but if demand exceeds this, we will run a second event on 9th December.
Home-Start Royston, Buntingford and South Cambridgeshire is a charity which supports local families with children aged 9 and under who are struggling with post-natal depression, isolation, physical and mental health problems, relationship problems, multiple-aged children, bereavement and many other issues.
They support parents to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children. The benefits of our support include improved health and wellbeing and better family relationships.
Johnson Matthey in Royston is a long-term supporter of Home-Start, providing funding through various donations and sponsorship of events, and Johnson Matthey staff buy over 100 Christmas gifts for the children Home-Start work with directly out of their own pockets.
