Story
I am running in the Race the Train Tynllwynhen Challenge to raise money for Children's Music at St. Gabriel's Church, Heaton in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in gratitude for the support and prayers I and my family received from the Vicar and parishioners this time last year when my seventeen month old grand-daughter, Etta, was gravely ill with a Strep A infection in the Intensive Care Unit at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary.
I am delighted to say, that thanks to the will of God, the prayers of the congregation, the healing energies of friends far and wide, the constant devotion of her parents, and especially the skills of the hospital medical team, Etta came through surgery to drain a collapsed lung and following a gradual process of convalesence has made a full recovery and is living a normal, full and happy life as a boisterous two year old! We are lucky to have witnessed a miracle for which we shall be forever grateful!
