Raising Money for Bliss – Supporting Premature and Sick Babies
In 2007, at just 28 weeks and 5 days, my twin daughters Carys and Isobel arrived far earlier than expected. They weighed just 3lb 1oz and 2lb 6oz, and spent the next 9 weeks in Worcester Royal Hospital before finally being strong enough to come home.
We were incredibly lucky – both girls pulled through and have gone on to thrive. They’ve just turned 18, and we’ll never take for granted how fortunate we’ve been that they’ve grown up with no lasting health problems.
But not every family has the same outcome.
1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist neonatal care. That’s around 90,000 babies every year. And that’s where Bliss comes in.
Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. They rely entirely on donations to:
💙 Fund research and improvements in neonatal care
💙 Support families going through the NICU journey
💙 Campaign for better policy and planning so no baby is left behind
If you’re able to donate anything at all, it would mean the world. Your support helps Bliss continue their vital work so that more babies have the chance to survive, grow, and thrive – just like Carys and Isobel did.
Thank you so much. 💙
