Cycling Challenge for Ste

My Fundraising Story

When our family was in our deepest hour of need, Halton Haven Hospice wrapped their arms around us. The exceptional care, compassion, and dignity they provided to my wonderful husband, Ste and the unwavering support they gave to our family is something we can never truly repay.

To continue Ste’s legacy and ensure this incredible place can keep supporting other families, I am taking on two cycling challenges this year.

Challenge 1: The Rizzo Ride (11th July 2026)

The 11th of July marks exactly two years since my lovely husband took his final journey from our home. To honour him, myself alongside 40 of our incredible friends and family will be cycling 40 miles from Southport to Runcorn as part of the annual Rizzo Ride.

In the past, I acted as Ste's support crew, helping him share in the experience and meeting up with the cyclists at various stages of the route. This year will be only the second time I am officially jumping in the saddle to ride it myself, surrounded by the people who love him.

Challenge 2: Vietnam to Cambodia Overseas Challenge (28th October 2026)

A few months later, I will be taking on the ultimate overseas expedition. Alongside an amazing team, I will be pedalling over 200 miles across tough terrain from Vietnam to Cambodia over 9 intense days.
