Jazz's Ultra Challenges for British Heart Foundation

Jazz Hughes is raising money for British Heart Foundation
Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

To raise money for the British Heart Foundation I will be walking approximately 90 miles over 3 events.

As a heart disease sufferer myself, I know the importance of the research, training and information needed by those living with heart and circulatory diseases and those that are close to them 🫂

On 3rd August '24, the South West Coast (North Devon) Challenge took me 50km/31 miles from Dunster Castle, along the Devon Coast, through Exmoor National Park and up 1600m worth of hills including the highest point in Exmoor, Dunkery Beacon!

On 25th January '25, I took on the London Winter Walk which saw me walk 42km/26 miles from The Oval Cricket Ground, heading east along the Thames, then it’s back along the north bank of the Thames before marching onto Parsons Green and back towards The Oval for the finish line. (8-13 hours)

And finally (for now), I'll be exploring some of the Capital’s less known historic areas. Following a 50km looped route head down to the Thames, through the Woolwich Tunnel and into Docklands, then looping back around the Thames the beautiful Cutty Sark, the Old Naval College & Greenwich Peninsular. It will also take me past the Olympic Park, Tower of London, the bustling South Bank and Borough before winding round the Thames with a magnificent view of Canary Wharf. (8-13 hours)

I hope you will all support me in this feat and sponsor me to raise as much money as possible towards vital life saving research! 🫀🩺⚕️

Heart and circulatory diseases still kill 1 in 4 people in the UK. With our support, the British Heart Foundation can keep funding vital research to improve millions more lives 🫀🫶🏻

I hope as many people as possible will share their support and take part in the activities and games I will be holding over the next few months and donate to this page wherever possible.

Thanks for visiting my page. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
