Story
On 31 October 2026, exactly one year since losing my dad, James Didgiunaitis, we are bringing people together at Goat Haus in Elland for an afternoon dedicated to padel, wellness and mental health.
My dad and I started playing padel together in May 2025, and it quickly became something he genuinely loved. Holding this event through a sport we shared feels like the right way to remember him while supporting a cause that affects so many people and families.
The day will include a padel tournament, a community 5K run, wellness activities, local businesses, food and an opportunity for people to come together, enjoy themselves and have honest conversations about mental health.
We are raising money for ANDYSMANCLUB, a men’s mental health charity providing free, peer-to-peer support groups where men can speak openly without judgement.
We know not everybody will be able to attend the event, so we have created this page for anyone who would still like to support the cause or simply donate because they believe in the work ANDYSMANCLUB does.
Every donation matters, regardless of the amount. Your support will help the charity continue providing spaces where men can talk, be heard and realise they do not have to face difficult times alone.
Alongside the donations made through this page, all entry fees from the event’s 5K run and 20% of the event ticket revenue will also be donated to ANDYSMANCLUB.
We are also offering local businesses the opportunity to sponsor the event for £250. Half of every sponsorship contribution will be donated to ANDYSMANCLUB, with the remaining amount helping us cover the costs of organising and delivering the event. Sponsors will also have the opportunity to support a meaningful community event while promoting their business to attendees and participants.
This day is in memory of my dad, but it is also for every person struggling with their mental health and every family affected by it.
Thank you for donating, sharing the page, sponsoring the event or supporting us in any way.
