Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are four friends from the Harpenden area taking on a challenge to raise funds for a charity in much need of our support - St Albans and District food bank, which is seeing a surge in demand at this time of high inflation in food and energy, leaving many more ordinary people facing poverty.
The choice of charity is linked to our common thread: we all have children who have attended, or are still attending Roundwood Park School (RPS), and the food bank is one of the 3 school charities nominated by the pupils of RPS. Additionally two of us teach at Roundwood schools.
About us: Richard Gray, Jean-Michel Jacquinot, John Whitehead, and Giles Willits, all 50 somethings attempting to cycle 1000 miles over 14 days from one end of the country to the other. We will set off from Land's End on Friday morning 20th July 2023. Giles will be driving our support car, whilst joining us at the end of most days on his bike. This is all totally self funded, and therefore 100% of funds raised will go directly to the food bank.
