I have been supporting UK Harvest as a volunteer for over 5 years.

UKHarvest is a food rescue charity that collects surplus food from growers, supermarkets and suppliers. The food is then redistributed to over 200 local charities and to communities all over West Sussex through weekly or monthly food pantries where users pay a donation of £5, if they can afford it, for a bag of fruit/vegetables and other essential groceries. UK Harvest also runs education programmes, teaching adults and young people how to plan and cook low cost meals and reduce food waste. See more at UKHarvest.org.uk
