Story
I'm running in the Eugene Marathon to support Jhpiego's mission through their 'Miles for Mothers' program. With each step and each dollar raised, I'm supporting their critical work in tackling cervical cancer and breast cancer in low- and middle-income countries- where care can be rare and difficult to access.
We are fortunate to live in a country with amazing health care and a universal system, however, hundreds of millions of people do not have what we take for granted.
In many regions, woman are marginalized and do not have the opportunities that men have. I believe it's important to support organizations that advocate and act for woman's rights and access to health care.
As I run this course, I'll be reminded of the generosity of my friends, family, and colleagues who have supported my efforts. Thank you for supporting me!
