Story

Thanks for supporting my fundraising.

Sadly, my best friend Matt Hooker lost his battle with Cancer on October 22nd 2022. The Macmillan team supported him through his darkest times and I want to give something back to them.

I ran last two years I have run the London Marathon for Macmillan - I am not a runner, yet have raised about £16,000 for them. I’d like to get to £20,000 this year before I hang up my running shoes.

Macmillan help people and their families at their worst moment in life.

I am not a runner - as a youngster running was used as punishment when I was playing rugby. Therefore I wanted to pick a challenge that was going to be hard, and going to push me.

Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe, JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
